Carpentry and Woodworking Programme

The carpentry and woodworking programme is a vocational training programme for those who want to work as, for example, a boat builder, interior carpenter, or furniture carpenter. The education has national recruitment, which means that students from all over the country can apply on the same terms. Here's what you learn

  • Among other things, you will learn a fantastic craft where you create both furniture and interiors using various manufacturing methods. You will learn how to handle different tools, machines, and materials used in fine carpentry. The education offers job opportunities as, for example, a boat builder, designer, interior carpenter, or furniture carpenter. You will also receive training in computerized manufacturing processes and learn about the history of the craft and various laws and regulations in the field.

  • The program also emphasizes the ability to communicate and work both independently and in groups; you will also gain knowledge about national and international job opportunities.

  • Parts of the education take place at one or more workplaces for at least 15 weeks (Internship/APL).

Do you want to continue studying at college or university after the program? This education allows you to acquire basic university eligibility and some specific qualifications. After the program, you also have the opportunity to attend vocational college and folk high school courses.
