Aeronautical Engineering Programme

The aeronautical engineering programme is a vocational education program for those who want to work as mechanics for airplanes or helicopters. The program recruits nationally, meaning students from all over the country can apply on the same terms. What You'll Learn

  • You will learn, among other things, how airplanes and helicopters work, how they are constructed, and how to troubleshoot and repair them.

  • You will also learn about the environmental impact of aviation and how to work with consideration for the environment, quality, safety, and economy.

  • You will receive training in computers and data systems and knowledge about national and international agreements, laws, and other regulations.

  • The program also emphasizes the ability to communicate, work independently, and in groups.

  • Parts of the training take place at one or more workplaces for at least 15 weeks (Internship/APL).

Specializations and Jobs:

Airplane

You will learn about the service, maintenance, and repair of airplanes with gas turbine engines or piston engines. This specialization can lead to work as an aircraft mechanic, for example.

Helicopter

You will learn about the service, maintenance, and repair of helicopters with gas turbine engines or piston engines. This specialization can lead to work as a helicopter mechanic, for example.

Do you want to continue studying at college or university after the program? This training allows you to acquire basic university eligibility and also certain specific qualifications. After the program, you also have the opportunity to pursue studies at vocational colleges and folk high schools.
